Working  as a team and alone to provide effective IT Support, including on call rota.   Carrying out duties as tasked by IT helpdesk, including fault finding, repair  and installation of PC’s, printers and networks.  Work carried out on site and  externally within Trust area.  Role requires working knowledge of the following:  MS DOS, Windows 3.11, 95, 98, 2000, NT, Novell NetWare 4.11 and other  application software including Office packages and E-mail  systems. Administration of security system regarding WAN access of remote users  to the hospital systems.  Maintaining department Network records and other tasks  as directed by management.  Liaising with management of other hospital  departments on a weekly basis.

IT  Administrator  Whessoe Varec Ltd   June 1997 - April 1999

Working  within a busy two man IT department duties included looking after a wide range  of PC’s from 386 to Pentium, Laptops, Networked Desktops as well as  Stand-Alone.  This involved the installation of various software packages from  Windows 3.1 to Windows 95, Office 97 and E-mail software.  Administrating the  network, repairing PC’s or organising third-party assistance where necessary.   Repairing a wide range of Printers, local and networked.  General Administrating  of Windows NT 4 Servers creating user accounts, file sharing and backups.   Looking after the General Administration of JBA AS/400 software including user  accounts, backups and setting up of dumb terminals to work with the mainframe.  Above duties were prioritised and carried out alone reporting back to the IT  Manager.
